Take a look at these 7 steps on how to maintain scented candles.
Please note that all candles are made differently, so some of the information on this page may not be appropriate. Most information about how to care for candles and how to safely use candles can usually be found on the sticker on the bottom of the candle or written on the candle packaging.

As you can see, taking care of a scented candle is very simple. Follow the following seven steps and you will be able to safely enjoy candles.
First, place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from air currents and any flammable materials. Keep candles away from children and pets.
2. Trim the wick
Before lighting, make sure that the length of the candle wick is between 1 cm and 1.5 cm. If they are too long, trim them with scissors or a wick trimmer. This will prevent the candle from smoking and melting the wax too quickly.
3. Light it up
Use a match or long lighter to light the wick. High-quality cotton wicks and wooden wicks may take longer to ignite. After lighting the candle, always pay attention to the candle.
4. Let it burn
When using it for the first time, burn the candle for 2-3 hours to build a complete molten pool. This will make your candle burn more evenly in the future.
Sometimes, the wick starts to fall into the wax or tilt too close to the side of the candle holder. If this happens, use the straw dipper to move the straw back to its original position. Make sure to complete this operation while the wax is still liquid.
6. Lights out
Use snuff to extinguish the candle. This avoids the need to blow hot wax. The snuff pipe also captures some of the smoke produced during the fire fighting.
7. Maintain a sense of smell
Putting the candle on the radiator is a good way to keep the candle full of scent without being lit. The heat from the radiator will slowly melt the wax and release the aroma.
